The Los Angeles Fire Safe Council is managed by MySafe:LA, a unit of The Safe Community Project. The FSC delivers education and awareness related to wildfire and fire safety. Each month, MySafe:LA hosts a virtual meeting - open to the public - during which presentations and educational content is provided to the public at no charge.

The June Fire Safe Council for Los Angeles meeting focuses on wildfire related insurance issues, and has as our special guest the Deputy State Insurance Commissioner, and leader in community relations, Julia Juarez. Ms. Juarez will not only explain the current insurance status within the State of California, but will detail what actions are being taken to improve the rate structure, the process to seek reasonable insurance, including the California Fair Plan as well as secondary insurance options. She will take questions as well. This is a very important town hall and we encourage anyone living in the WUI - not only in Los Angeles - but statewide to tune in and have a listen.
